This guide explains how to use myNetworks's eFax feature to send faxes directly from your email. This feature streamlines your workflow by eliminating the need for a physical fax machine.
Note: This feature only works with an email address associated with an active account on our system.
Composing and Addressing the Email
To send a fax from your email, create a new email message as you normally would. In the To: field, type the 11-digit fax number (e.g., 18885551212), followed by @fax.myvoice.vip.
IMPORTANT: Always use an 11-digit fax number when addressing the email. This means you must include a "1" when faxing any number in the USA or Canada.
Populating the Cover Page
If your cover page setting is enabled, Viirtue eFax will automatically extract details from your email and populate them onto a cover page.
- The subject line of your email will populate the
RE:field on the cover page. - The body of your email will populate the
Commentsfield on the cover page.
The To: field on the cover page will default to the destination fax number. If you prefer to display the recipient's name or business instead, use the following format: Name<faxnumber>@fax.myvoice.vip.
Attaching Documents
You can attach multiple document types to your email, which will be converted to a fax-friendly format and sent to the destination fax number. Attachments can be a single document or multiple documents in varying formats. Once your documents are attached, simply click SEND.
Allowed Email Attachments:
- Image Files (TIFF, GIF, PNG, JPEG)
- Adobe Acrobat Files (PDF)
- Microsoft Office Files (DOC, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX)
- Printer File Formats (PCL, EPS, PS)
- Text Files (TXT, RTF)
TIPS: If you create a file using a scanner or print to file, always choose the option of black and white for the output.
